I’m always afraid to poke my head through the blinds. I know what I’m going to see. You’re leaving in the shiny kennel with wheels again. And I know what you’re doing. When you come home I’ll smell the yummy bites in the styrofoam container you bring home. Leftovers. Slurp.
But you could just stay. I like when you cook at home! With family. With me! With all the tasty fresh ingredients that fill my snout. I love to sit at the edge of the kitchen, being a good boy and watching you create something in which you intimately know everything that goes into it right down to the last detail. Somehow eating out has become too routine, but is it really any more convenient? By the time you get ready, drive to your favorite restaurant, order, eat, pay, and drive home you could cook almost anything you want and never have to leave me peering through the blinds. Why not stay home and make something tasty with me?
If this is you, I invite you to try one of my Pantry Pups recipes. Or not. There are plenty of other great recipe blogs out there. But please make it at home with family and your pups. And if you have any extra scraps on the counter while you’re making that tasty concoction, perhaps you could slide them towards the edge of the countertop so I can slurp it up!
